Missional Compassion
Jesus inaugurated his earthly ministry by declaring that he came to bring good news for the poor. Yet, somehow the church is so often prone to forget the poor in its religious busyness. Tragically, when this happens, we cease to be Christ followers, and all of our worship, singing, and preaching is rejected by God. But in his love, he calls us back - back to true religion, where we care deeply for orphans and widows and experience Jesus in our own hands.
